When you go global, trust Global Accent

We use a well-trained team of skilled human translators, who only work into their native languages. Our workflow assures that translations are checked by editors and reviewed for accuracy. Our team uses the latest software to support the translation effort. We leverage the advantages of technology for terminology management, but we never use or recommend "machine translation".

  • Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can I get my documents translated?
Regular processing requires 5-10 working days for most medium-sized jobs. Special handling for rush orders is available for an additional charge. We will commit to a deadline in our binding quote. Please note that translation is a time-consuming process that requires attention to detail, so we use teams to handle larger jobs on tight deadlines, rather than stretching one translator too thin.

What electronic file formats can you work with?
Our library of tools knows almost no limits. We work comfortably with all standard file formats and programming languages. Let us know what you need, from HTML, ASP to FrameMaker or RC files, and we guarantee to preserve your file format and code during translation.

How do I send you the documents to be translated?
We prefer to receive files electronically. But you can fax or physically send them to us by any carrier you wish.

What does Global Accent need to know to give me a quote?
Our bids and quotes form is online for quick and easy submissions, or send us a fax with the following information:
    1. What language is the document in?
    2. What language do you want the document translated into?
    3. How long is the document? How many words?
    4. When do you need the translation? Rush orders are available in 2-4 days, for an additional charge. If you give us 5-10 days, we can save you money!
    5. What is the purpose of the translation? Is it for information purposes? Will it be published? Do you just need a summary? Letting us know what you need can save you time and money. If a document is going to be on the front page of a major newspaper, we will obviously write it in an appropriate style with great care, but if you want to use the document for in-house information purposes, we can price it accordingly. Also, if you have a giant stack of papers and want to look for information on a particular topic, we can have our translators write a summary or even search the document for you. This summary translation will be faster, cheaper and may save you time looking through pages and pages of extra information.
    6. Do you have a previous version that has already been translated, or other materials that this translation should coordinate with? By providing us with these materials, we can use consistent terminology and save time on research - thus saving you money and making a better presentation.
    7. And lastly, we need a contact person's name and number, so we can discuss the job in person.

    Money Matters

    What are your rates?
We base our prices on a word count, so you pay for exactly what you get. Layout and engineering are charged separately, if they apply. These word rates vary by language, turnaround time and volume, so tell us about your job so we can provide an accurate quote. All terms are specified in a contract issued for each job.

I only have a few lines that need translating, do you have a minimum charge?
Yes, our minimum charge is $50. By the way, we have translated tattoos for both law enforcement and fans of body art. All for our minimum charge!

What methods do you accept for payment?
We accept payment in US dollars by check or wire. We require payment for half of the job up front and half upon completion for larger contracts.

    Certified Translation for legal documents

What do I need to send you to get a certified translation?
We need a clearly legible copy of the document in order to translate it. A fax is often fine, but for non-Roman alphabets, often a good photocopy is required.

How much does a certified translation cost?
One price does not fit all! We price our translation based on the length of the document. The minimum charge for any certified job is $150, and each additional page about $50. Fax or email us your document for a quote.

How soon can I have the certified translation?
Regular processing requires 5-10 working days. Rush orders available for an additional 50% in 2-4 days.

How do I get my certified translation back?
We mail your original certified translation by US mail or an express carrier. To expedite your translation order, we can fax an advance copy.
